Pray for Baptist Temple Church in Victoria, Texas

Baptist Temple Church Victoria was founded in Victoria, Texas in the early 1950s. The church building is a large, three-story building. At one time, it was full and overflowing. A split in the mid-1990s devastated the church, and the congregation was reduced by half. The church has continued to experience a state of decline since the split.

Currently, the church is meeting in their fellowship hall, leaving almost all of the three-story building empty to help conserve on costs. Baptist Temple has decided to sell the building and find a new location that better meets their needs. In addition to being too large, the current building has many issues including asbestos, mold, and is in need of updates to make the building handicap accessible. 

Jeremy Prichard was hired as the pastor a few months before the start of the pandemic. Pastor Prichard is excited about working towards the revitalization of Baptist Temple. The majority of the congregation is over 70 years old, but they have a desire to be obedient to the Great Commission commandment and reach others for Christ.
