Pray for Battswood Baptist Church in Cape Town, South Africa

This year, Battswood Baptist Church celebrates 135 years of ministry in Cape Town, Africa. Their building was once used as a potato barn for the army. It later became a mission house used to reach the unchurched and unsaved within the Muslim community. Over 45 ministers have come from Battswood Baptist, including Pastor Eric Hofmeyer, who moved from member to minister five years ago.

The church uses sports ministry and music to reach the youth and young adults in their community. They also host Mothers to Mothers Camps, a three-day camp for mothers who have lost children due to gang violence in the community. Please pray for the church’s next camp in June and for their continued ministry to youth, families, and prisoners in the Western Cape area.

Join us as we pray specifically for:

  • Healing and comfort for the mothers who attend the Mothers to Mothers Camp in June.
  • God to send additional workers to minister to the lost and those in need.
  • Pastor Eric Hofmeyer as he shepherds the congregation and leads the outreach ministries in the community.
  • The city of Cape Town, South Africa.
