Pray for Boone Advent Christian Church in Boone, North Carolina

Boone Advent Christian Church, located in Boone, North Carolina, will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year. The church’s rich history began on the outskirts of Boone in Piney Grove Township. Between 1884 and 1921, the church reached its membership capacity. When several members relocated to Boone, they established a new church there. In 1926, they held the first service in the new building, which continues to be used today.

Located directly across the street from the rapidly growing Appalachian State University, the church has an excellent opportunity for outreach among college students. Please pray that their ministry to these students inspires a deep knowledge and passion for Christ. We hope that college students who come to this vibrant community leave with a strong desire to share the gospel and that the town of Boone will be transformed by it.

Mitch Marlowe has led the Boone Advent Christian Church since 2017. Their most pressing need is to establish the church as a weekday childcare center to better serve the community. They are currently working through the building permit process. Please pray that they can advance their vision and gain the town’s support for this ministry. Pray that the Lord will use this space for His glory, allowing both children and parents to experience the gospel through this initiative. We are grateful for Boone Advent Christian Church and pray that they continue to shine as a light for the kingdom.
