City Church in Brownsville, Texas is a young congregation, just under two years old, faithfully serving a unique border community with Mexico just to the south. As a new work, the church is stepping forward in faith, seeking to establish a strong gospel presence and reach people with the hope of Christ. One of their key ministries is a weekly outreach at the Cameron County halfway house, where they are consistently engaging individuals who are in need of transformation and encouragement.

Pastor Adam Michael Gomez Jr. leads this work with decades of life and ministry experience. His family is deeply involved in both life and ministry, carrying both joys and burdens. They have walked through significant loss, including the passing of their son David Judah at a young age, and continue to trust God to use their story to bring healing to others. Their daughter Destiny serves as a worship leader while also building her professional future, and their extended family remains a central prayer focus as they seek God’s direction and provision.

This is a church with a heart to serve, a pastor with a deep well of experience, and a family trusting God through every season. Take time to lift them up as they continue building a gospel-centered presence in their community.
