Pray for Devon Park Baptist Church in Fredericton, New Brunswick (Canada)

Devon Park Baptist Church in Fredericton, New Brunswick (Canada), was first officially organized as Gibson Baptist Church in 1889. In the church’s history, it has had the privilege to ordain two young men to the Gospel ministry as well as send many missionaries to various countries to share the life-changing news of Jesus. Devon Park has gone through many changes over the years but still remains strong in focus and goal—preaching and teaching the Word of God faithfully and proclaiming the Good News of salvation in Christ alone. Between 1968 and 1987, there was extensive and expensive building, while the soul-winning and missionary zeal of the church continued to strengthen. Many members who called Devon Park their home went to serve the Lord in various ministries all around the world.

Terry Woodcock is the senior pastor at Devon Park Baptist Church. He attended New Brunswick Bible Institute from 1974-1977 and has been in pastoral ministry since 1977. He has pastored in Ontario and various churches in New Brunswick over his time in the ministry. He is gifted in and passionate about preaching and teaching the Word of God and the Gospel.

Spencer Tapley is the Associate Pastor at Devon Park. He has been serving in this role for almost a year and a half, and his main responsibilities include children/youth ministry and College & Career. He enjoys playing musical instruments (drums, guitar, and bass), amateur videography, and working on different types of media editing.

Devon Park is one of the only churches in Fredericton that has an Awana program and it thrived this year. Parents from many different churches sent their children to the Awana program at their church to hear and learn from the Word of God. Pray that Parents will continue to send and support Awana and that kids will respond favorably to the Gospel.
