This week, we invite you to pray for Faith Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida, led by Pastor Drew White. Located on the northern outskirts of Lakeland, Faith Baptist Church is celebrating 32 years of ministry this year. Situated in a semi-rural area that is rapidly developing, the church finds itself in a unique season of opportunity. Since Pastor Drew became pastor in 2020, the congregation has experienced tremendous growth, and the surrounding community continues to welcome many new residents. With Polk County among the fastest-growing areas in the nation, Faith Baptist Church is seeking to faithfully reach its expanding community with the gospel and make disciples for Jesus Christ.

One of the church’s major outreach efforts this summer is Vacation Bible School, taking place June 22-24. Church leaders are praying that this year’s VBS will be the largest in the church’s history and that many children will hear and respond to the good news of Christ. The outreach will continue with a special “Family Day” in July, when VBS families will be invited back for worship, fellowship, a shared meal, waterslides, snow cones, games, and an intentional opportunity to connect families with the church and present the gospel.

Pastor Drew White and his wife, Jamie, have been married for 14 years and are raising five children: Marshall (11), Oakley (10), Crase (7), Nora (6), and Sutton (3 months). As they lead both their family and church through this exciting season of growth, they would appreciate your prayers and encouragement.

• Pray for God’s blessing on the upcoming Vacation Bible School and for many children to hear and receive the gospel.
• Pray for the July Family Day outreach and for meaningful connections with families in the community.
• Pray that God would provide the right worship leader for Faith Baptist Church.
• Pray for continued spiritual growth, discipleship, and maturity throughout the congregation.
• Pray for revival and renewed gospel impact among the churches throughout the Lakeland area.
