Pray for First Baptist Church in Bartow, Florida

First Baptist Church Bartow is a historic downtown Southern Baptist church in central Florida. The church is well known as the former church of Charles Stanley.

FBC Bartow went through a church split four years ago, but God has been faithful, and the church is slowly recovering. Pastor Matt McCraw was called as the pastor in September 2017, and he is leading the church to develop disciples who love God, love the Church, and love others.

COVID-19 has had a major impact on the state of Florida, and Pastor McCraw, the church staff, and the church members are working to minister to their community during this difficult season. FBC Bartow recently returned to in-person worship services on Sundays at 10:45 am Eastern. They are also offering online service on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, a virtual VBS experience for children this summer, and a food pantry ministry.

Please join us as we pray specifically for:

• FBC Bartow’s virtual VBS that is scheduled to start on August 3rd. Please pray that children and families will be reached for Christ through this ministry.
• The church’s Pray and Go outreach ministry. The church had started this ministry before the pandemic hit their area, and they would like to restart again soon.
• The church to regain some of the momentum they had started to build before the pandemic.
• The community of Bartow during the pandemic.
