We are praying for Norview United Methodist Church, Norfolk, Virginia.

For more than a century, Norview United Methodist Church has served as a beacon of hope and compassion in the Norview community of Norfolk. For 106 years, the church has faithfully ministered to its neighbors through gospel-centered service and practical care. Though the congregation has experienced decline in recent years due to disaffiliation and the passing of longtime members, approximately thirty faithful members continue to serve tirelessly in ministry and outreach.

Norview United Methodist Church remains deeply engaged in its community. The church hosts regular Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, including an AA ministry that has met there for more than forty years. The congregation also serves by providing food, clothing, blankets, health kits, and Bibles to those in need.

The church is currently seeking God’s direction for its future ministry opportunities. Leaders are exploring ways to repurpose and improve their facilities to better serve the community, including conversations about low-income housing, preschool opportunities, and expanded community outreach services. Significant financial needs and building repairs remain a major challenge, but the church desires to continue serving faithfully and effectively for years to come.

Norview United Methodist Church is pastored by Gail Von Mosch. Pastor Gail and her husband, Carl Von Mosch Sr., recently celebrated 48 years of marriage. Carl faithfully served as both a veteran and civil servant for forty years. Together, they have faithfully served in the Methodist Church for decades and are grateful for their children and grandchildren.

• Pray for financial resources and partnerships to help repair and modernize the church facilities.

• Pray that new people will join the mission and ministry of the church.
• Pray that the church will continue spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and making disciples.
• Pray for Pastor Gail Von Mosch, her husband Carl, and their family as they continue serving faithfully.
