Pray for Waverley Road Baptist Church in Toronto, Canada

Waverley Road Baptist Church was started in Toronto, Canada, in 1891 by a grocer who reached out to local kids and began a Sunday School in the back of his shop. Today, the church is located amongst rows of houses on Waverly Road in a beautiful area in northeast Toronto. The church is the only evangelical congregation in the neighborhood.

Waverly Road is preparing for an extensive renovation to its church building. They are launching an early learning center as an extension of their family ministries. The new learning center will help the church better serve its neighborhood and mobilize its people as they continue to discern and respond to the community’s needs. Please pray for wisdom, insight, perspective, humility, courage, and guidance for Pastor Emmanuel Palisoc and the other leaders at the church. Also, pray for funding, ministry staffing, design, contractors, and directors for the learning center.
