Pray for Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bogalusa, Lousiana
Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church, located in Bogalusa, Louisiana, celebrated 75 years this past February. The people of WEBC are sharing the hope of Jesus amid a city where crime and poverty continue to rise. Under the leadership of Pastor Marcus Rosa for the last two decades, the church has experienced revitalization, expanding from 50 to over 200 in weekly attendance. Despite the struggles within the community, great things are happening in their midst. The children’s ministry is thriving, and the community is witnessing the real impact of their mission to Love God and Love People.
WEBC has grown into a multi-cultural congregation with multi-racial leadership that equips people on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights to deepen their relationship with God. They are then able to go into their community and minister. The congregation faces many challenges due to the declining population and crime within their area. Let’s join them in praying for revival in the midst of the brokenness. Joy is contagious at WEBC, where the atmosphere is full of a congregation focused on its mission to Love God and Love People.
Join us in praying for these requests:
- Spiritual growth at Kids Camp on July 11th-13th.
- For their staff, guiding the congregation to engage with the community and spread the gospel.
- That crime would decrease because of lives being transformed through Christ.
- October mission trip to Guatemala.
- For the congregation of Westside Emmanuel to strengthen their relationship with Jesus through Wednesday evening Bible studies.
