Every church has a story.
Some churches are faithfully reaching their communities with the gospel. Others are revitalizing after years of decline. Still others are developing leaders, making disciples, serving their neighborhoods, or creating a culture of evangelism that is changing lives for eternity.
Too often, these stories go untold.
The Church Answers Awards were created to change that.
A Big Announcement
This year, Church Answers is honored to launch the inaugural Church Answers Awards, a national recognition program designed to celebrate churches that are making a significant impact for the Kingdom of God. These awards are not about creating competition among churches. Rather, they are about recognizing faithfulness, effectiveness, innovation, and a commitment to the Great Commission.
For many years, Church Answers has served pastors and church leaders across North America. Along the way, we have witnessed thousands of examples of churches doing extraordinary ministry. Some are large churches with extensive resources. Many are smaller congregations faithfully serving their communities week after week. What they share in common is a commitment to God’s mission and a willingness to lead with courage and conviction.
The Church Answers Awards provide an opportunity to shine a spotlight on these churches and encourage others through their example.
The Awards Categories
The awards will recognize churches across twelve categories, highlighting a variety of ministry strengths and accomplishments. We believe healthy churches can look different from one another, and these categories reflect the many ways churches faithfully advance the gospel.
One of the unique aspects of the awards is the nomination process. Rather than relying solely on a panel to identify candidates, we are inviting church leaders, church members, ministry partners, and friends of churches to submit nominations. We know some of the most inspiring ministry stories are known best by those who have witnessed them firsthand.
That means your voice matters.
Perhaps you know a church that has become a model of community engagement. Perhaps you have seen a congregation reverse years of decline through prayer and intentional leadership. Maybe your church has experienced a remarkable season of growth and discipleship. These are the kinds of stories we want to hear.
There is no limit to the number of nominations that may be submitted. Churches may be nominated in one category or multiple categories. Our goal is simple: identify and celebrate churches whose stories can encourage and inspire others.
The recognition itself is meaningful, but the larger purpose is even greater. Every honored church becomes an example to other churches seeking to fulfill God’s mission more effectively. Their stories remind us that God is still at work through local congregations in communities across the nation.
Focusing on Churches That Might Be Overlooked
In a time when many headlines focus on challenges facing churches, the Church Answers Awards will highlight stories of faithfulness, hope, perseverance, and Kingdom impact.
We believe the local church remains God’s primary instrument for reaching the world with the gospel. We also believe that churches deserve encouragement when they are making a difference. By celebrating these ministries, we hope to inspire church leaders everywhere to continue leading with courage and conviction.
