Pray for Baltimore Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland

Baltimore Baptist Church launched on September 18, 2022 as an independent Baptist church near Fort McHenry, the birthplace of our national anthem. Pastor Pedro Morales, along with his wife, Trina, have been serving there for 8 months. The church has not been chartered, yet they are working on a church constitution and by-laws, hoping to have the charter service on their one year anniversary.

Pedro and Trina grew up in Highlandtown, a neighborhood in Baltimore, and both graduated from a nearby high school in 1993. They became Christians after they met, as Pedro shares his story and testimony here. They now have four adult daughters, one granddaughter, and a second grandchild on the way. Apart from serving the Lord and sharing the gospel, they love Baltimore and are loyal to Baltimore sports: Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Blast–and even the University of Maryland Terrapins. Pedro sings, plays the trumpet, enjoys golf and Trina loves decorating and woodworking.

Pastor Pedro has served in churches in Florida (Orlando and Wauchula) and in Parishville,  New York. After many years of faithful service and much introspection, believing God had other plans, they acknowledged that he was leading them to plant a church in the community where they grew up. Pedro initially led Bible studies at a local restaurant in the neighborhood where they envisioned the church to be located. God has blessed them tremendously along the way, bringing them now to their current location, inside a Best Western hotel. Please pray for them, as they are looking to secure a permanent location for Baltimore Baptist.

Join us as we pray for these specific prayer needs:

    • Pray for wisdom, guidance, provision, and favor on their behalf, as they are deciding on one of two possible locations for a permanent church building.
    • Pray for their first ever VBS this year, July 26-28. Pray that they will have the funds, the workers, and the families to participate from the community. Pray for souls to be saved.
    • Pray the Lord sends them a piano player. They are in desperate need of instrumentalists.
    • Pray that they will continue to grow. They average 25 on Sunday morning, and need further financial support.
    • Pray for wisdom as they begin to draft the church constitution and bylaws.
    • Pray that the Holy Spirit will go ahead of them as they go out to reach the city of Baltimore for Christ.
