Beaver Creek Baptist Church in Neeses, South Carolina, is a faithful rural congregation with a long history of sharing the hope of Jesus Christ and serving families across generations. As the church enters a season of renewal, members are seeking to build on their strong foundation while becoming more intentional in discipleship, outreach, leadership development, and reaching new families in their community. Through their ministries, Beaver Creek continues to demonstrate a heart for both the gospel and its neighbors.
Pastor John Sharpe and his wife, Barbara, are leading and encouraging the congregation through this important season of transition. Together with the church family, they are seeking God’s wisdom as Beaver Creek moves toward a leadership-led, congregation-affirmed ministry model that will help position the church for greater effectiveness in the years ahead. The church is especially burdened to reach unchurched families, strengthen ministry to children and students, and develop new leaders who will help carry the mission forward.
Prayer Requests:
- Pray for spiritual renewal throughout Beaver Creek Baptist Church, that hearts would be drawn closer to Christ and that the church would grow in prayer, worship, discipleship, and evangelistic passion.
- Pray for wisdom, unity, and discernment as the church continues its transition to a leadership-led, congregation-affirmed ministry structure and works to strengthen its ministry foundations.
- Pray that God would raise up new workers, volunteers, and ministry leaders while encouraging and strengthening the faithful servants who have carried the ministry for many years.
- Pray for the church’s NextGen ministries, asking God to help Beaver Creek effectively reach children, students, and young families and create an environment where they can grow in faith.
- Pray for open doors in the Neeses community through outreach events, fellowship gatherings, VBS, community projects, and everyday gospel conversations, leading many unchurched people to Christ.
