Pray for CrossPoint Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
CrossPoint Church began in 1922 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania as CrossPoint United Methodist Church. Today, the church is a multisite and church planting congregation that is working with two first-generation congregations, one from Nepal and the other from Egypt.
Led by Pastor Dave Biser, the church is making great efforts to reach its community for Christ. One way the church serves its community is through the CrossPoint Food Pantry. In Central Pennsylvania, 1 in every 9 people struggles with hunger, and 1 in 6 children are hungry. The pandemic brought this need to light more than ever, and CrossPoint answered the call for help. Over the last eight months, the food pantry has received and distributed over 48,000 pounds of food serving 2,141 individuals in need.
In the months ahead, CrossPoint is planning outreach to their community through a big Fourth of July celebration and a VBS program. Please pray that God would bless the faithful workers at the church and that the community of Harrisburg would know the love of Christ through their efforts.
Please join us as we pray specifically for:
- CrossPoint Church as they minister to their community.
- The church’s upcoming Fourth of July and VBS ministries.
- God’s continued blessing and provision for CrossPoint’s ministries and volunteers.
- Pastor David Riser as he leads CrossPoint Church.
- The city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
