Pray for CrossPointe Church in Gillette, Wyoming

CrossPointe Church, located in Gillette, Wyoming, began in 2022 as a church replant. Among extensive facility upgrades, frequent repairs, and the effects of severe flooding, the church has spent a considerable sum resolving these issues. Outreach in their community of 33,000 people began with cleaning the homes and yards of those unable to do these things on their own due to age and/or health issues. God is faithfully working by not only supplying these needs, but also growing this replant for His glory!

Pastor Mark Mitchell leads CrossPointe in service to a largely homogeneous community, having only 1% of minorities in their geographical context. They engage a culture of prevalent drugs and witchcraft as their greatest challenges, with about two-thirds of their community without a relationship with Jesus. God has prepared Mark to lead in this particular demographic through 27 years of ministry, including pastoring four relatively small churches. Mark holds degrees from Liberty University and Luther Rice Seminary. He is married for 27 years with 4 children and 3 grandchildren.

The church asks that you join with them in prayer as they make strategic connections with the community. Mark leads the charge as a fathers’ advocate volunteer at a local Women’s Resource Center, and praying at City Council meetings as well as Library and School Board meetings.

• • Pray that God will raise prayer partners to overcome strongholds.

• • Pray for Mark and the leaders of CrossPointe, that Christ will sustain them as they commit to the Great Commission in Wyoming and abroad.

• • Pray that CrossPointe will remain focused on God and what He is doing in Gillette, and join Him in His work.

• • Pray for continual wisdom and strength as they actively and purposefully share the gospel for God’s glory and His kingdom advancement. 

• • Pray that many will come to salvation in Christ and as His disciples, and walk in obedience to Him.
