Pray for Edgewood Christian Church in Roanoke, Virginia

Edgewood Christian Church (ECC) in Roanoke, Virginia is over 100 years old. Over the last two decades, a variety of competent, faithful men have served ECC in a variety of typical staff positions. A common thread that connects each of them together is a “maintenance mindset.” This mindset hobbled the church’s outreach in the community and fostered an ongoing resistance to change.

Pastor Brian Orahood was called as ECC’s lead pastor in April 2016. One of his primary tasks was to lead the church through the revitalization process. There have been many changes over the last four years, but the church is starting to see progress. Please pray for ECC as they continue to implement essential changes, minister to their community, and welcome new guests.

Also pray for the church as they launch three new ministries: MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), Grief Share, and Celebrate Recovery. May God use ECC in a mighty way to reach the people in Roanoke, Virginia.
