Pray for Faith Family Fellowship in Dover, New Jersey
Faith Family Fellowship began in 1893, making this year their 130th anniversary. Faith Family originally formed under the name of First Baptist Church of Dover, having changed their name in 2017. The name change came to remove possible denominational barriers as well as a reboot for the church. Under Ed Wall’s leadership as the church’s pastor, the church intentionally worked to be a caring, loving, Christ-like congregation.
Ed Wall became the pastor at FFF in May of 2015. He attended the University of Cincinnati, Baptist Bible College of Springfield, MO and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages.
Ed’s wife of 51 years, Phyllis Latimer Walls, went home to be with the Lord recently, and both Ed and the church are grieving a cherished friend and partner. He met his wife while attending college in Springfield, MO and they were married August 7, 1971. They have two daughters and five grandchildren.
As with a large percentage of churches, Faith Family has less than 100 in weekly attendance. They are an older congregation, actively seeking ways to engage with the community. Their facilities are all up-to-date, on 9 acres of land, so they have plenty of room for growth.
Please join us, among the other prayer requests below, in praying for pastor Ed as he continues to grieve and to transition to ministry without his wife.
