Pray for First Baptist Church of Cave Spring in Cave Spring, Georgia

First Baptist Church of Cave Spring, Georgia, was established on September 24, 1836. It will be 188 years this autumn. FBC of Cave Spring serves a rural community of about 1000 residents. Five years ago, the church walked through a revitalization process with the intention to further God’s kingdom and mission in their context. Positive, gospel-centered changes resulted, propelling the church forward into a season of fruitfulness.

Jarrod Kinsey came to First Baptist Church of Cave Spring in June 2020 as their senior pastor. Jarrod and his family served as full-time missionaries in the remote Aurora province in the Philippines. Jarrod has previous youth ministry and associate pastor experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry from Shorter University and a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Jarrod and his wife, Cheree, were married in 2009 and they have five children: Harper, Hudson, Evie, Ivie, and Roseali. He enjoys backpacking, fishing, golf, and pulls for the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. His hometown of Ringgold, Georgia is about 70 miles north of the church.
