Pray for First Baptist Church in Dunkirk, New York

First Baptist Church was the very first church of any denomination in Dunkirk, a small town on Lake Erie near the western-most point in New York State. The church was organized on May 5, 1830, with twenty-two constituent members. First Baptist celebrated its 190th anniversary this year, and they continue to make an impact in their community and around the world through various ministries, mission partnerships, and their school, Central Christian Academy.

Pastor Mark Massaro joined First Baptist Church as senior pastor in September 2017. He has led the church in their commitment to faithfully preach the Good News of the Word of God, show love to their community, encourage and build up the church family, and help prepare future generations to love and serve our great God. 

The church has recently restarted in-person Sunday School and adult Bible studies. They are also hosting a safe Trunk or Treat event for the community this Saturday, October 31.

• The Trunk or Treat event to be a safe and successful outreach event for the community of Dunkirk. 

• Unity within the church as they take next steps in reopening during the pandemic.
