We are praying for Gereja Kristen Kalam Kudus in Indonesia

This week, we invite you to pray for Rev. Teddy Huang and Gereja Kristen Kalam Kudus, a Chinese church faithfully serving a multiethnic community where approximately 60% of the population is Muslim. For six decades, God has used this congregation to proclaim the gospel, disciple believers, and plant three churches. As they prepare to celebrate their 60th anniversary this October, they are praying for renewed passion among their small groups to reach their neighbors with the love of Christ.

Pastor Teddy is grateful for his wife, who faithfully serves the Lord through her ministry at a local school, and for the blessing of their daughter. Please pray that he would remain committed to reading Scripture with his daughter each day and that God would grant him wisdom to balance the demands of ministry with intentional time for his family.

Prayer Requests:

• Pray that God will provide for the church’s financial needs and bring them from a season of deficit into one of stability and abundance for ministry.
• Pray for wisdom, unity, and open doors as the church prepares to plant a new congregation in the city of Dumai.
• Pray that God will provide a suitable location for one of their satellite churches, despite the unique challenges of ministering in a predominantly Muslim community.
• Pray that the Lord will raise up and equip the next generation of church leaders and servants to faithfully carry the ministry forward.
• Pray for the discipleship conference this September, asking God to mobilize families throughout the church to become intentional disciple-makers.
