Pray for New Hope Church in NAIROBI, KENYA
New Hope Outreach Ministries launched this year as a new church plant in Utawala, Embakasi, a sub-county in Nairobi, Kenya. They have already held seven services, and their congregation consists of twenty people. This church is the first successful church plant from their mother church, which began in the 1990s. As they pioneer this move, they are excited to see what the Lord will do.
Rev. Timothy Kwabi, an electrical engineer for many years, answered the call to become a pastor eight years ago. Earlier this year, his bishop asked him to plant a new church, and he eagerly accepted. Rev. Kwabi is currently seeking the Lord’s guidance at each step and planning several outreach events and fundraising campaigns to meet the needs of the new church. One of his fundraising efforts is to build a children’s playground to encourage families to come. Let’s pray with Rev. Kwabi that New Hope will be a beacon of light to the community and that the power of the gospel transforms many lives.
Please join us in praying for specific needs:
- Financial provision to complete the sanctuary. $10,000 is needed to finish the remaining items, such as the walls, floors, washrooms, and windows.
- Wisdom in choosing the leaders to help Rev. Kwabi.
- Grace and favor with the community, schools, hospitals, and government officials as they seek favor to begin a mentoring program.
- Strength, wisdom, and courage for Rev. Kwabi, his wife Shinel, and their three children as they steer the vision of the church plant.
- That God will use New Hope and its leaders to minister to the needs of the people He is bringing their way.
