Pray for Penn West Baptist Church in Holdenville, Oklahoma

Penn West Baptist Church was established in 1947 in the Penn West addition of Holdenville, Oklahoma. The church is a small congregation, but they have a nice church plant and plenty of property to be used for ministry. Under the leadership of Pastor David Pope, Penn West desires to reach more souls for Christ and revitalize their church.

The church’s local outreach efforts have been greatly impacted by the pandemic. There is a bus stop located right outside the church building. Before COVID-19, the church provided cookies and juice boxes to approximately 15 kids after school every Wednesday. Unfortunately, this ministry has been canceled during the pandemic. 

Penn West Baptist also serves their community by providing Christmas boxes to those in need. Due to a decrease in church attendance and giving, the church may have to cancel or scale back on this ministry for 2020.

Please pray that God will help Penn West Baptist discover new ways to love and serve their members and community during this challenging season.
