We are praying for Sinai Assembly of God Church in New York, New York

In the heart of New York City, Sinai Assembly of God Church is reaching people from many nations with the hope of the gospel. What began as a small house cell in 2012 officially became a church in November 2013. Today, under the leadership of Pastor Jean B. Ouedraogo, the church serves as a cross-cultural congregation with a special burden for immigrants who struggle with the English language. Many in their community have little or no church involvement simply because they cannot understand English, so Sinai Assembly of God seeks to remove that barrier by proclaiming Christ in ways people can understand.

The church ministers to children, women, and young adults while faithfully serving a diverse community of immigrants. They also have a growing desire to strengthen their outreach, particularly among young adults, through community events and social activities that create opportunities to build relationships and share the gospel.

Pastor Jean is thankful for the support of his wife and their three children, who faithfully serve alongside him in ministry by helping interpret and leading worship. Their family has become an important part of the church’s mission to reach people from many cultures with the love of Christ.

• Pray for genuine spiritual revival within the church and throughout the surrounding community.
• Pray that the members will have a strong desire to serve the Lord faithfully and wholeheartedly.
• Pray that the church family will continue to walk in obedience to God’s Word.
• Pray that God will provide the financial resources needed for a permanent place of worship, including the down payment they are currently seeking.
• Pray that the upcoming young adult outreach and community activities will open doors for meaningful gospel conversations, and that God will raise up more workers for the harvest through their evangelistic efforts.
