Pray for Starrville Methodist Church in Winona, Texas

On Sunday morning, Jan. 3, 2021 a tragedy occurred at Starrville Methodist Church in Winona, Texas. Sixty-two-year-old Pastor Mark Allen McWilliams was shot and killed when a suspect was discovered in a church bathroom hiding from the police. Two others, including the pastor’s wife, Rosemary, were injured during the incident.

Please pray for the members of Starrville Methodist Church, the victims and their families, and this small community as they recover in the days ahead. 

Please join us as we pray specifically for:

• The congregants of Starrville Methodist Church as they grieve the loss of their pastor and recover from this tragic event.

• The pastor’s wife, Rosemary Williams, as she heals from her injuries and grieves the loss of her husband. Pray for the entire Williams family during this time of loss.

• Recovery and healing for Mike Sellars who was shot during the incident and underwent surgery for his injuries.
